Two players from the Czech Republic booked their places in the quarterfinals of the Napoli Tennis Cup. Vit Kopriva remained untroubled in his second-round match against Frenchman Calvin Hemery, winning 6-1, 6-3 on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Bilovec native converted five of his 13 break-point chances to advance in one hour and 33 minutes. Kopriva will next take on Federico Arnaboldi of Italy, who rallied past Romanian alternate Filip Cristian Jianu 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 in one hour and 57 minutes.
In the top half of the draw of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 clay-court event Dalibor Svrcina knocked off No. 8 seed Chun-Hsin Tseng of Chinese Taipei 6-3, 7-5. The 22-year-old from Ostrava capitalized on five of his six break-point opportunities and won 56 per cent of the total points played to succeed in one hour and 53 minutes.

Up next for Svrcina will be Murkel Dellien of Bolivia, who stopped the run of Swedish qualifier Elias Ymer, winning 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-0. The encounter lasted two hours and 25 minutes.
