The semi-finals are set at the €42,500 Poprad Tatry Challenger with top-seed Martin Klizan reaching the stage of the final four with a 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 victory over Adam Pavlasek. The world world number 50 withstood 10 aces, breaking his opponent’s serve four times to prevail in one hour and 37 minutes. Klizan will take on Gerald Melzer next, who eased past Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo 6-2, 6-2.
Second seed Horacio Zeballos defeated the tournament’s number seven Jozef Kovalik 7-6, 7-6. The 31-year-old Argentine sent down 10 aces, winning 76% of his first service points to prevail in one hour and 56 minutes. Zeballos will next face fourth seed Andrej Martin, who fought past Kimmer Coppejans 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 in two hours and 43 minutes.
