With Miljan Zekic and Stefano Napolitano two unseeded players will compete in Sunday’s final of the €42,500 Internazionali Di Tennis Dell’Umbria in Todi.
The qualifier from Serbia upset the tournament’s number three Mario Trungelliti 6-2, 6-2. Zekic saved all of the three break points he faced, converting four of his own to prevail in one hour and 25 minutes.
Napolitano, who enterd the tournament with a wild card, knocked out second seed and Milan Challenger champion Marco Cecchinato with a 6-4, 6-2 win. The 21-year-old Biella native broke his opponent’s serve three times, winning 75% of his first service points to advance in one hour and 25 minutes.
Both players will appear in their maiden ATP Challenger final and also square off for the first time.
