The 2026 edition of the Generali Open Kitzbühel – scheduled for July 18–25 – is already shaping up to feature one of the most exciting fields in recent years. Four high-profile players have been confirmed as early entries, all known not only for their success on court but also for their charisma and entertaining styles of play.

Tournament director Alexander Antonitsch highlighted the exceptional level of interest surrounding this year’s event. “The number and quality of player inquiries have been particularly high. Many players are eager to come to Kitzbühel,” he said. “Based on the requests we’ve received, we can expect one of the most interesting player fields in recent years.” One key factor is the timing, as the tournament sits conveniently one week before the mandatory ATP Masters 1000 events in Canada, making it an attractive stop for top players.

Leading the initial list is defending champion Alexander Bublik, currently ranked No. 11 in the world and widely regarded as one of the most colorful personalities on the ATP Tour.

Joining him is Italy’s Flavio Cobolli, one of the most exciting talents of the new generation. Over the past two years, Cobolli has firmly established himself among the elite, climbing to a career-high ranking of No. 14. Earlier this March, he claimed the ATP 500 title in Acapulco and also played a key role in leading Italy to the 2025 Davis Cup title. Known for his variety, touch, and dynamic style, Cobolli is expected to be a fan favorite in Tyrol.

One of the most remarkable stories in tennis last season came from Monaco’s Valentin Vacherot. The 25-year-old stunned the tennis world by winning the ATP Masters in Shanghai as an outsider, defeating top players including Novak Djokovic along the way. His victory culminated in a memorable final against his cousin Arthur Rinderknech, adding an emotional layer to an already fairytale run. Vacherot now sits at No. 25 in the world rankings.

Completing the quartet is Matteo Berrettini, another former Kitzbühel champion and one of the most popular players on tour. The Italian, who was forced to withdraw last year due to injury, has secured his return early and will look to make a strong impact once again in Austria.

Interest among fans is also at an all-time high. Tickets for the Generali Open Kitzbühel are already available starting at €28, with demand significantly exceeding previous years at this stage. “Ticket sales this spring have been stronger than ever before,” said tournament CEO Florian Zinnagl. “We’ve never seen such high demand so early, and we’re very pleased about that.”
