Daria Snigur captured the title at the 2026 BTC Murska Sobota Open ITF World Tennis Tour W75 event after defeating Belgium’s Greet Minnen 6–3, 6–2 in Sunday’s final.
Held in Murska Sobota, the second WTT tournament of the year in Slovenia once again demonstrated the city’s passion for tennis. The final day featured top-level tennis, an excellent atmosphere, and outstanding organization, with Snigur delivering a mature, confident, and tactically impressive performance throughout the match.
The Ukrainian top seed earned 75 WTA Ranking points and a prize of $9,600 for her victory. After the match, she thanked both her opponent and the spectators who created such a special atmosphere.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate my opponent for a very good final and for the entire week,” Snigur said. “I would also like to thank all the fans who came to today’s final. Of course, thanks also go to everyone who made this tournament possible. It has been an amazing week for me, and I am very happy that I had the opportunity to play here.”
Snigur received her trophy from Damjan Anzelj, the mayor of Murska Sobota, and Iztok Skraban, president of the Tennis Club Murska Sobota.
Minnen also left a strong impression during the tournament and once again proved why she is considered one of the most accomplished players on the circuit. Following the final, she highlighted the importance of returning to her highest level and praised the excellent organization of the event.
