LINZ/STARNBERG, April 9, 2026
The champion of the 35th edition of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz, held at the Design Center Linz, will receive a truly extraordinary prize: a unique crystal trophy created by Swarovski.
Standing 40 centimetres tall and weighing 3.5 kilograms, the trophy combines modern elegance with powerful symbolism. Its design is made up of three harmoniously balanced elements that together capture the dynamism and brilliance of tennis.
The foundation of the trophy consists of two precisely crafted Swarovski crystal blocks, forming a clear architectural structure. Transparent and filled with light, these elements symbolise fairness, purity and the clarity of the decisive moment in a match, when everything depends on a single shot. Despite its weight, the luminous crystal gives the trophy an almost weightless appearance.
At its centre rises a slender, elegantly curved metal form finished in vibrant pink. The gentle curve creates a sense of movement and expression, while subtly evoking the silhouette of a confident and graceful female figure. The sides of the structure incorporate the contours of a tennis racket, with delicate indentations reflecting its frame and linking the design directly to the sport. The pink finish represents energy, passion and the modern identity of the tournament.
Crowning the trophy is a tennis ball entirely covered in fine Swarovski crystals. It embodies precision, intensity and the pinnacle of athletic excellence. The way the crystals catch the light recalls the instant when racket meets ball – a moment of tension, power and triumph.
The winner’s trophy showcases Swarovski’s craftsmanship, creativity and savoir-faire. It symbolises the journey to becoming champion: clear and transparent at the base, elegant and powerful at its core, and radiant at the moment of victory.
“Swarovski has once again created a true work of art. This is more than a worthy trophy for our anniversary tournament,” said tournament director Sandra Reichel.
“We are delighted to continue our successful and trusting partnership with Swarovski, one of Austria’s best-known brands, at Austria’s biggest women’s sporting event.”
