The German Davis Cup team will play its next home tie in September in Halle, Westphalia. After a dominant 4-0 victory over Peru in Düsseldorf in early February, the team of the German Tennis Federation (DTB) will face Croatia on 19–20 September 2026 at the heristo arena, aiming to take a decisive step toward qualifying for the Davis Cup Finals. Matches are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. local time on Saturday and 12 p.m. local time on Sunday.

Ticket sales for the Davis Cup home tie open on Friday, with fans able to secure their seats via official ticket platforms Reservix and Eventim. Prices start at €25, with attractive discounts available for children and teenagers, offering a great opportunity to experience world-class tennis live and support the German team on home soil.

The heristo arena, with a capacity of around 11,500 spectators, is one of Germany’s most prestigious tennis venues and also hosts the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN ATP 500 event. The modern multi-purpose arena has previously staged three Davis Cup ties: a 4-1 win over the Czech Republic in 1993, a 3-2 victory against Spain in 1994, and a narrow 2-3 loss to France in 2006.

This time, Germany will take on Croatia on hard court in the second qualifying round. The head-to-head record favors the German side, which has won three of the four previous encounters against the 2005 and 2018 Davis Cup champions. Their last meeting dates back 15 years.

DTB President Dietloff von Arnim is looking forward to the return to Halle: “Halle stands for top-class tennis and great emotions. After the successful home tie in Düsseldorf, we want to carry that momentum forward. Our goal is clear: together with the fans, we want to take the next step and qualify once again for the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna.”

Team captain Michael Kohlmann also emphasized the importance of home support: “We can expect a special atmosphere and great enthusiasm for tennis in Halle. That’s exactly the energy we need to succeed. Croatia is a dangerous opponent, with a strong mix of experienced world-class players like Marin Cilic and promising young talents such as Dino Prizmic. In doubles, they also have two of the best players on Tour in Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic.”

Ralf Weber, managing director of the heristo arena, highlighted the significance of hosting the event once again: “The return of the Davis Cup to Halle in September 2026 is a major highlight in our event calendar and a special honor. The heristo arena has established itself over many years as a reliable venue for top international tennis, and we are proud to host this prestigious competition once again.”
