RENNES/STARNBERG, April 30, 2026

The Open Blot Rennes will celebrate its 20th anniversary from September 14 to 20, 2026, with a special edition that blends top-level tennis, cultural events, and community engagement. Held in the heart of Rennes, the ATP Challenger tournament continues to grow as a key fixture on the circuit, marking the milestone with an ambitious and festive program.

A major highlight is the renewal of the title partnership with Blot Immobilier for an additional ten years, extending through 2035. This long-standing collaboration has been instrumental in the tournament’s development, helping establish it as both a sporting and social landmark in the region. Tournament director Matthieu Blesteau emphasized the depth of this relationship, describing it as a shared identity that has grown stronger over time.

On the court, the event will once again take place at Le Liberté, with additional match access offered at the Colette-Besson venue, where fans can enjoy free entry from the qualifying rounds through the early main-draw matches. Expanded facilities, including new practice courts, will further enhance the player experience.

Beyond the tennis, the Open Village on the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle will be open free of charge throughout the week, offering a wide range of activities such as padel, pickleball, pétanque, and interactive sports experiences. A new “Salon Festif” will host nightly live music from Monday to Friday, adding to the vibrant atmosphere in the city center.

The anniversary celebrations will peak on Sunday, September 20, with a special concert by Yannick Noah following the singles final. The former Roland-Garros champion will perform on the centre court, closing the event in style. The entertainment continues on Saturday, when crowd-favorite Mansour Bahrami will headline an exhibition match known for its flair and showmanship.

This year’s ambassador is Ksenia Chasteau, one of the brightest stars in wheelchair tennis. The former world No. 1 junior has already claimed major junior titles at the US Open and Roland-Garros and represented France at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Her presence highlights the tournament’s commitment to inclusivity and inspiration.

That commitment extends beyond the court. Through initiatives like “Open en Quartiers” and “Open des Scolaires,” the tournament brings tennis to local communities and schools, offering free access and development opportunities for young players. Plans are also underway to expand these efforts through partnerships with organizations promoting sport and education.

Sustainability remains a priority, with continued efforts to reduce waste, reuse materials, and eliminate plastic bottles for spectators. Free drinking water will once again be available on site, reinforcing the event’s eco-conscious approach.

Since its creation in 2006, the Open Blot Rennes has welcomed many future stars of the sport and continues to position itself as a reference on the ATP Challenger Tour. With a strong blend of sport, culture, and community values, the 2026 edition promises to be a memorable celebration of two decades of tennis in Rennes.
