World Tennis Tour W100 DISA Gran Canaria-Maspalomas

SAN BARTALOME DE TIRAJANA/STARNBERG, July 23, 2026

Everything is in place for the 11th edition of the ITF W100 DISA Gran Canaria-Maspalomas 2026, which will bring some of the world’s leading professional players to Maspalomas from 26 July to 2 August. The tournament is the only World Tennis Tour W100 event in Spain and one of just six tournaments of this category in Europe, underlining its importance within the international women’s calendar.

The official presentation took place at the Club Conde Jackson Tennis Maspalomas, the venue that will host the tournament. Representatives from Tourism of the Canary Islands, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, DISA Group, the Canary Islands Tennis Federation, and the organizing club attended the event, together with tournament director Oti Santana.

With $100,000 in prize money and a significant number of WTA Ranking points on offer, the clay-court tournament has become a key destination for players looking to improve their ranking and strengthen their chances of entering the world’s biggest events, including the Grand Slams. The event has also received a major boost after being honored by the International Tennis Federation for the second consecutive year for its organizational excellence and contribution to the development of professional women’s tennis.

The competition will be held at the Club Conde Jackson Tennis Maspalomas, located in the Campo Internacional area of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, a venue that benefits from the region’s year-round warm climate, extensive hotel infrastructure, and strong sports facilities.

Among the players expected to headline the field are Austria’s Julia Grabher, champion of the tournament in 2023, Egypt’s Mayar Sherif, Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska, and Dutch veteran Arantxa Rus, a three-time champion in Gran Canaria. The organizers have also reserved wildcards for promising Canarian players, continuing their commitment to supporting local tennis talent.

The qualifying tournament begins on Sunday, 26 July, while the main draw in singles and doubles starts on Tuesday, 28 July. The doubles final is scheduled for Saturday, 1 August, and the singles final will take place on Sunday, 2 August at 6:00 p.m. All matches will be played with free admission until capacity is reached.

The tournament will once again enjoy extensive media coverage, with the final rounds broadcast by Movistar+ Vamos 3 and RTVE, while additional coverage will be provided by Tennis Channel and Marca TV.

Former world No. 6 Carla Suarez Navarro will continue her role as an ambassador of the event, strengthening the connection between Gran Canaria and elite women’s tennis.

Beyond the sporting spectacle, the tournament also serves as an important international showcase for Gran Canaria and Maspalomas as a destination for clay-court tennis, active tourism, and year-round outdoor sports, with players, coaches, officials, and media from around the world expected to spend the week on the island.
