German teenager Diego Dedura captured the first ATP Challenger title of his career on Sunday, lifting the trophy at the 2026 Tampere Open in Finland. The 18-year-old produced an impressive performance in a rain-interrupted championship match, defeating home favorite and No. 2 seed Otto Virtanen 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-3 to crown a breakthrough week and secure the biggest title of his young career.
Dedura saved all three break points he faced and capitalized on both of his own two break-point chances to secure victory in one hour and 56 minutes.

Following two title wins on the World Tennis Tour, Dedura celebrated his maiden Challenger triumph and earned € 15,510 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The Tampere Open, which was hosted for the first time in 1982 and is the longest-running Challenger tournament in history, and was held at the Tampereen Tenniskeskus. The clay-court event offered a total prize pool of €97,640. Tampere is Finland’s third-largest city, located between two lakes in the heart of the country. Known for its rich industrial heritage, vibrant cultural scene, and extensive green spaces, it is one of Finland’s most important sporting hubs.
