The singles and doubles draws have been announced for the Challenger de Guayaquil Copa Banco Guayaquil presentado por CNT. ATP Challenger supervisor Ricardo Reis of Brazil, together with tournament director Andres Gomez and Luis Adrian Morejon, conducted the draw for the 22nd edition of the event. Main-draw action gets underway on Monday, October 26.

One of the standout first-round matches will see Chilean Nicolas Jarry, a former world No. 16 who has recorded victories over Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, take on Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien. The second seed reached a career-high ranking of world No. 64 in 2022 and was also runner-up in Guayaquil in 2019.

The two South Americans are familiar opponents, having already faced each other four times on the professional circuit. Jarry leads their head-to-head 3–1, including a victory at Roland Garros in 2023. Their latest meeting promises to be one of the highlights of the opening round.

Another intriguing encounter will feature top seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli against fellow Argentine and friend Federico Coria. Ugo Carabelli, currently ranked No. 75 in the world and a nine-time Challenger champion, leads their head-to-head 4–2 after six meetings. Coria, ranked No. 172, reached the final in Guayaquil in 2022.

There will also be an all-Ecuadorian clash between young wild cards Angel Veliz and Emilio Camacho. Both players have previous experience competing at the tournament and will be eager to secure their first singles victory at Challenger level. Meanwhile, another local favourite, Alvaro Guillen, is waiting to discover his opponent, who will emerge from qualifying.
