Maxime Janvier is the champion of the €42,500 Morocco Tennis Tour in Casablanca. In the second all-teen ATP Challenger final of the season, the French qualifier defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-0 on Saturday.
Janvier was in total control of the match, winning 90 per cent of his first service points. Janvier didn’t face a break point, converting four of his own to secure victory in just under one hour of play. After lifiting two ITF Future trophies this year, he captured his first title on the ATP Challenger Tour three days ahead of his 20th birthday.
The 19-year-old is the ninth different teenager and seventh qualifier to win an ATP Challenger title this year. Janvier earns €6,150 in prize money as well as 80 ATP ranking points.
