LONDON, November 10, 2016

Roberto Bautista-Agut will join David Goffin as second substitute for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, which kicks off in London next Sunday. Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic and Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as numbers 10 and 12 in the ATP Race would be the first alternates, but have already announced to end their season early.

The world No. 14 from Spain captured two ATP World Tour titles this season in Auckland and Sofia and also reached his first Masters 1000 final, finishing runner-up to Andy Murray in Shanghai.

“I am very pleased, as this is a gift to me for all the efforts during the entire year. I played a pretty consistent season. Being in London will be a great season finale for me,” Bautista-Agut told. It will be the 28-year-old’s second appearance at the O2.

“I was also there in 2014. For sure it is going to be a positive week for me. I will some practice and will be prepared in the event of stepping into action.”
