Special Christmas present for Soon Woo Kwon, as he captured the Cal Comp & XYZ Printing ITF $10,000 MEN’S PRO CIRCUIT 2016. The second seed from Korea defeated Germany’s Daniel Altmaier in Saturday’s final 6-2, 6-2, held at the local Tue Arena.

Kwon withstood five aces, hitting two of his own and capitalized on five of his seven break point chances to seal victory in one hour and 14 minutes. The 19-year-old earns $1,440 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points. Kwon, ranked World No. 335, lifted his fifth career ITF Pro Circuit trophy, his third of the season.

On Friday, Kwon lost the doubles final alongside fellow Korean Jea Moon Lee 3-6, 4-6 to Frenchmen Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul. The encounter lasted one hour and 12 minutes. Hua Hin will host another Future tournament in the very last week of the season, starting on 26 December.
