Oscar Otte advanced to the singles final in Kaarst

An all-German-final is set at the $15,000 Kirschbaum International powered by Energy Concepts, as Oscar Otte will take on Elmar Ejupovic at the Tespo Sportpark on Sunday.

Otte had no problems in his semi-final encounter with Vadym Ursu from the Ukraine. The fifth seed didn’t lose his serve and capitalized on three of his own 10 break point opportunities to advance in only 62 minutes.

Ejupovic, who battled through the qualifying, upset the tournament’s number four and Schwieberdingen runner-up Yaraslau Shyla from Belarus, winning 7-6, 7-6. The 23-year-old German won half of the total points played but showed some solid solid shots from the baseline and was more focused in the deciding moments of the tie-breaks to prevail in two hours and two minutes.

Otte and Ejupovic will meet for the first time. The fifth seed vies for his sixth title on the ITF Pro Circuit, the qualifier could lift his maiden crown.

Otte And Kahlke Claim Doubles Title

Later the day, Otte claimed the doubles title. Alongside Jannis Kahlke, the all-German-combination defeated top seeds David Pel from the Netherlands and Joran Vliegen of Belgium 6-3, 5-7, 10-8. The encounter lasted one hour and 18 minutes.

“Now, I also want to take the singles title,” told Otte afterwards.
