The Australian Open has announced a landmark partnership extension and expansion with its established partner, luxury Swiss watchmaker Rolex.

The new agreement underpins a long-term partnership that will continue to see Rolex as the Official Timekeeper and Associate Sponsor of the Australian Open until 2027.

“We are delighted to continue on the success of our long term relationship with Rolex, a world class brand and industry leader that has been aligned with the Australian Open since 2008,” Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said.

“This expanded partnership will retain the heritage of Rolex at the Australian Open whilst also introducing a range of new and contemporary elements in the digital and virtual space.

“This is an exciting time for both Rolex and the Australian Open and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Rolex to grow our partnership across all global, regional and domestic markets,” Mr Tiley said.

“We’ve enjoyed a very successful partnership with the Australian Open over the past 10 years. This long-term extension is a natural step for Rolex and is a reflection of our commitment to both the Australian Open and the sport of tennis,” Arnaud Boetsch, Communication and Image Director of Rolex said.

“As the first of the four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the Australian Open is a prestigious event which embodies the excellence and top performance that Rolex values. We are looking forward to another 10 years at the leading edge of tennis.”

As part of the agreement, Rolex timepieces will continue to be visible both on-court and across the entire venue. Innovative content will inspire and entertain fans on the three stadium courts, Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Hisense Arena and on the Australian Open digital and broadcast platforms.
