19-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas conquered his first ATP Challenger singles title, winning Sunday’s final of the €127,000 AON Open – Memorial Giorgio Messina in Genova. The #NextGenATP player from Greece edged past Spanish veteran Guillermo Garcia-López 7-5, 7-6.
Tsitsipas, who finished runner-up at two Challenger events in Morocco last year, won 86 per cent of his first service points and converted two of his eight break point opportunities to secure victory in one hour and 49 minutes.

The teenager takes away €18,290 in prize money as well as 125 ATP ranking points.

Germans Win Doubles Title

Earlier in the day, Jan-Lennard Struff and Tim Puetz of Germany clinched thir first team title, winning the doubles final 7-6, 7-6 win over Argentine Guido Andreozzi and Ariel Behar from Uruguay.
The encounter lasted one hour and 38 minutes. Struff and Puetz split €7,870 prize money.
