Marco Cecchinato and Carlos Gomez-Herrera will compete in Saturday’s singles final of the $50,000 Cachantun Open by KIA held at the clay courts of the Club Deportivo Manquehue in Santiago de Chile.
Cecchinato rallied past Spanish veteran Tommy Robredo on Friday 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. The No. 2 seed from Italy won 77 per cent of his first service points and 56 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 43 minutes.
Gomez-Herrera, who battled through the qualifying, defeated Jozef Kovalik of Slovakia 6-3, 7-6. The World No. 356 from Spain converted three of his five break point chances to advance to his maiden final on the ATP Challenger Tour after one hour and 46 minutes.

Cecchinato and Gomez-Herrera will meet for the first time. The 25-year-old from Palermo could clinch his fifth ATP Challenger crown.
