After clinching the doubles title alongside Pedro Martínez Portero, Germain Gigounon also took the singles trophy of the $25,000 BBVA Future Vila de Xàbia held for the second time at the clay courts of the Ferrer Tennis Academy in Jávea.
The 28-year-old from Belgium edged past the tournament’s No. 3 seed Marco Trungelliti of Argentina 6-4, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Gigounon converted three of his five break point opportunities to secure victory in one hour and 15 minutes. The Lobbe native hoisted his 14th ITF Pro Circuit career title and takes away 25 ATP Ranking points as well as $3,600 in prize money.
