The ATP Challenger Tour will return to Forestmeadows Athletic Center later this month for the 19th edition of the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger. Main draw action of the $75,000 USTA Pro Circuit clay court event will take place from 23 to 28 April 2018.
The entry list is led by Taro Daniel of Japan. The 25-year-old New York native is currently ranked at World No. 111 and clinched five ATP Challenger career titles.
Daniel will be joined by a strong contingent of US-American players of which World No. 120 Denis Kudla will be the highest ranked. #NextGenATP stars Michael Mmoh, Tommy Paul and Reilly Opelka will also appear at one of the largest tennis events in Florida, which attracts many players preparing to play on clay at the French Open.
In last year’s singles final, Blaz Rola of Slovenia defeated Ramkumar Ramanathan from India in straight sets. Past singles champions include Mardy Fish, John Isner, and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
