Carlos Berlocq is the champion of the $50,000 Visit Panamá Tennis Cup. The 35-year-old from Argentina eased past Blaz Rola of Slovenia 6-2, 6-0 in Saturday’s singles final at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Fred Maduro.
Berlocq saved all six break points he faced, converting five of his own to secure victory in one hour and 39 minutes. The veteran from Buenos Aires lifted his 19th ATP Challenger career trophy and is now tied for third on all-time titles list. Berlocq earns $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP ranking points.

Rola finished runner-up in Panamá for the second time. The 27-year-old left-hander fell in the 2014 final to Pere Riba of Spain.
Germans win doubles title

Earlier in the day, Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann and Kevin Krawietz captured the doubles title.
The tandem defeated Nathan Pasha from the United States and Roberto Quiroz of Ecuador 7-6, 6-4. The encounter lasted one hour and 19 minutes.
