Christopher Eubanks advanced to his first final on the ATP Challenger Tour at the $50,000 Jalisco Open presentado por Aeromexico-Delta held on hard courts at the Polideportivo Metropolitana de Tenis in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The 21-year-old US-American defeated Pedja Krstin of Serbia 6-2, 7-6 on Saturday afternoon. Eubanks fired 18 aces, winning 97 per cent of his first service points to secure victory in one hour and two minutes.

The World No. 290 will face No. 6 seed Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador in Sunday’s title match. The 27-year-old benefited from the retirement of Brayden Schnur from Canada due to stomach problems, leading 6-3, 2-0.

Arevalo, who eyes his third ATP Challenger crown, won the only previous meeting between the two at Monterrey Challenger last year.
