STARNBERG, June 14, 2018
Yannick Hanfmann leads a strong German contingent at this year’s Marburg Open held at the TV 1965 Marburg from 30 June to 7 July 2018. The World No. 114 will be joined by Matthias Bachinger, Dustin Brown, Oscar Otte and Mats Moraing. The latter will be one of four local players, who already lifted an ATP Challenger trophy on home soil.
Moraing captured his maiden title at the Koblenz Open earlier this season. Hanfmann triumphed indoors in Ismaning last year. Young guns Rudolf Molleker, who won in Heilbronn, as well as reigning Sparkassen Open Braunschweig champion Nicola Kuhn will also be part of the line-up at the €43,000 ATP Challenger clay-court event.
The highest ranked player will be World No. 102 Guido Andreozzi of Argentina. The 26-year-old Buenos Aires native is currently sitting on a career high and clinched two ATP Challenger trophies this season at Punta del Este, Uruguay, as well as in Tunis.
