The semi-finals of the Turkish Airlines Open Antalya are set, led by top seed Adrian Mannarino, who defeated Joao Sousa from Portugal 7-6(3), 6-4 at Kaya Belek Resort on Thursday.

The World No. 24 sent down seven aces, winning 73 per cent of his first service points to prevail in one hour and 43 minutes.

“I’m just trying to play my best every time I step on the court for a match,” Mannarino said. “I was just trying to fight on every point… that was a really, really close match.”

Mannarino will next face fellow Frenchman Gael Monfils. The fourth seed edged past Spanish veteran Guillermo Garcia-López 7-6(3), 6-4. Monfils won 91 per cent of his first serves and saved the only break point he faced to seal victory in one hour and 17 minutes. The pair will meet for the third time, both previous matches took place at Wimbledon. Monfils triumphed in straight sets three years ago, while Mannarino was victorious in five sets last year.

Jiri Vesely defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia 7-6(5), 6-2. The 24-year-old from the Czech Republic saved all three break points he faced, converting two of his own to advance after one hour and 17 minutes.

Vesely will next play Damir Dzumhur, who is two spots off his career-high of No. 28 in the ATP Rankings. The No. 2 seed from Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and three minutes.
