Lukas Rosol headlined Wednesday’s second round action at the €43,000 Bastad Challenger by knocking out top seed Guido Andreozzi from Argentina.

The 32-year-old from the Czech Republic fired 10 aces, winning 82 per cent of his first service points to seal a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6(4) victory in two hours and 20 minutes. Rosol, who clinched one ITF Futures title this season on home soil in Pardubice, will next take on Slovakian qualifier Filip Horansky.

Corentin Moutet is the last seeded player left in the singles draw. The #NextGenATP Frenchman fought past Goncalo Oliveira of Portugal 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Moutet broke his opponent’s serve seven times to prevail after two hours and nine minutes. The 19-year-old third seed will face compatriot Constant Lestienne in the quarterfinals.

Mikael Ymer delighted the home crowd with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 win over Calvin Héméry. The Swedish teenager won five points more than the Frenchman to advance in two hours and 17 minutes.
