No. 4 seed Jason Jung and Russia’s Evgeny Karlovskiy are the finalists of the $75,000 Nielsen Pro Tennis Championship in Winnetka. Jung cruised past US-American qualifier Collin Altamirano 6-2, 6-2 on Friday afternoon.

The 29-year-old from Chinese Taipei struck three aces, winnning 79 per cent of his first service points to finish the encounter in just under one hour of play.

Karlovskiy defeated Dayne Kelly of Australia 6-4, 6-2 later in the day. The 23-year-old Moscow native saved the only break point he faced, converting three of his own to prevail after one hour and 13 minutes.

Jung, who qualified for his first Wimbledon main draw this year, is seeking his second ATP Challenger title of the season following his triumph in San Francisco in February. Karlovskiy could lift his first Challenger trophy. The World No. 355 captured seven titles on the ITF Pro Circuit.

Karlovskiy won the only previous meeting between the two in Bangkok earlier this year.
