Kimmer Coppejans has claimed his first ATP Challenger title since 2016, winning the LVI Copa Sevilla. The 24-year-old Belgian defeated fellow qualifier Alex Molcan of Slovakia 7-6(2), 6-1 in Saturday’s singles final of the €64,000 clay-court event held at Real Club de Tenis Betis.
Coppejans capitalized on four of his five break point chances and won 55 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 38 minutes.
“What a week it’s been! Lifting my 5th challenger trophy ! Thanks to all who kept believing in me no matter what! You guys are the best,” Coppejans tweeted.

By lifting his first ATP Challenger trophy since Tampere two years ago, his fifth overall, Coppejans takes away from Andalusia €9,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP-Ranking points.
