ISMANING, October 13, 2018

The second edition of the WOLFFKRAN Open has kicked off with the qualifying at the Tennis Club Ismaning on Saturday. 32 players battle for four spots in the main draw of the €43,000 ATP Challenger event, held on carpet.

Top seed of the International Indoor Tennis Championships of Bavaria is World No. 86 Lorenzo Sonego of Italy, who finished runner-up to Yannick Hanfmann last year. The 23-year-old will be joined by #NextGenATP Frenchman Ugo Humbert. The 20-year-old enjoys his best season so far, lifting three ITF Pro Circuit trophies as well as his maiden ATP Challenger crown in Segovia. Humbert continues his great run of form this week at the ATP Challenger in Val Gardena, where he advanced to the final.

A strong contingent of German players is led by Dustin Brown. Daniel Masur, Kevin Krawietz as well as wild card entries Christian Seraphim, Louis Wessels and Jeremy Jahn will also appear in the main draw. Both Austrians Dennis Novak, who made it to the final four in Ortisei this week, and Lucas Miedler will be seeded.
