STARNBERG, October 29, 2018
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will compete for the No. 1 ATP Ranking and the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title record as the top two seeds at the Rolex Paris Masters.
World No. 1 Nadal, competing for the first time since the US Open, has never won the final Masters 1000 event of the season. Djokovic is a four-time champion at the tournament, and with a victory, he would not only regain the No. 1 ranking for the first time since the week of 31 October 2016, but tie Nadal’s record of 33 Masters 1000 titles.
The final two spots at the Nitto ATP Finals are for grabs, with Marin Cilic and Dominic Thiem currently in the seventh and eighth spots in the ATP Race To London, respectively. But Kei Nishikori and John Isner have the chance to qualify with deep runs.
Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic, the top seeds in the doubles draw, have a chance to clinch the year-end No. 1 ATP Doubles Team Ranking.
