The French Tennis Federation has named Sebastien Grosjean as the country’s new Davis Cup captain for 2019 and 2020. Grosjean will also lead the men’s team for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

“The French team is stronger than ever,” Bernard Giudicelli, the president of the French Tennis Federation was quoted on Davis.com. “Sebastien’s enthusiasm is proof of this and I am happy to see a former winner take on the role. His knowledge of professional tennis, in all its forms, will be a valuable asset for our federation.”

The 40-year-old Grosjean reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 4 in October 2002. He won four singles titles and retired from tennis in 2017.
