MUNICH, December 27, 2018
World No. 4 and reigning ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev is the first player to be confirmed for the 2019 BMW Open by FWU in Munich. This was announced by the organizers of the ATP 250 clay-court event on Thursday.
“It’s always great to play in front of my home crowd and I hope that I can successfully defend my title,” said Zverev, who lifted the trophy in the capital city of Bavaria in the past two years.
“Special thanks to our partners BMW and FWU,” the tournament’s organizer Michael Mronz said. “Only with the support of our sponsors we are able to present another fantastic line-up to our spectators. It is wonderful to see the ATP Champion coming back to Munich next year.”
