Hugo Dellien clinched his first title of the season. The 25-year-old from Bolivia won the 2019 Cachantun Open by KIA held on the clay-courts of the Club Manquehue in Santiago de Chile. Dellien rallied past first-time ATP Challenger finalist Tung-Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei 5-7, 7-6(1), 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The World No. 87 sent down seven aces, winning 65 per cent of his first serves. Dellien capitalized on five of his six break point opportunities to secure victory in two hours and five minutes.
By lifting his fourth ATP Challenger trophy, Dellien collected $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP-Ranking points, reaching a new career-high next Monday.
On Saturday, Franco Agamenone and Fernando Romboli took their first team title. The Argentine-Brazilian combination fought past Facundo Arguello of Argentina and Martin Cuevas from Uruguay 7-6(5), 1-6, 10-6. The encounter lasted one hour and 30 minutes.
