After one-year hiatus, the ATP Challenger Tour has returned to the renowned Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Sophia Antipolis for the second edition of the €69,280 Mouratoglou Open this week.

The 2019 line-up is led by World No. 49 Pierre-Hugues Herbert, who is seeking his fifth Challenger title, his first since 2016. After a first-round bye, the 28-year-old Frenchman awaits the winner of the encounter between Nino Serdarusic of Croatia and Mohamed Safwat from Egypt.

No. 2 seeded Dutch Robin Haase will open his title bid against either ITF-entry Baptiste Crepatte from France or Dustin Brown from Germany. Frenchman Benoit Paire, who finished runner-up to Pablo Andújar at the Casino Admiral Trophy in Marbella on Sunday, will start his home campaign against compatriot Tristan Lamasine or Roberto Marcora of Italy.

Albert Ramos-Vinolas of Spain is the fourth seed of the ATP Challenger 90 clay-court event. The 31-year-old from Barcelona will play the winner of the match between Thai-Son Kwiatkowski from the United States and fellow Spaniard Bernabé Zapata Miralles.
