A great field is being built up at the 27th edition of the Gerry Weber Open that takes place from 15 to 23 June 2019. Karen Khachanov will join Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem and Kei Nishikori for the 2019 line-up in Halle.
The 22-year-old from Russia will make his third appearance in Westfalia after reachin the semi-finals in 2017 and the stage of the final eight last year. Khachanov clinched four ATP Tour career titles, three in 2018.
“We are happy that Karen has given us his commitment to further strengthen our first-class field in June,” tournament director Ralf Weber said about 10 weeks ahead of the first serve at the prestigious ATP 500 grass-court event. “He is not only a great talent, but also a great person.”
