The 32-man-draw has been whittled down to the final four at the ATP Challenger Intermek Tennis Cup Internazionali di Tennis del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Cordenons.

Sixth seed Adrian Ungur denied Roberto Carballés-Baena’s first ever appearance in an ATP Challenger final, when he rallied back from a set down, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. The 30-year-old Romanian won 58% of his first service points and capitalized on seven of his 12 break points to seal victory after two hours and 20 minutes.

In his first Challenger final of the season, his first since claiming the title in August 2014 in San Marino, Ungur will face Filip Krajinovic. The 23-year-old Serbian defeated second seed Paolo Lorenzi for the first time in their second tour meeting, winning 7-6, 6-4. Krajinovic won 70% of his first service points and four of his eight break points, converting his first match point after one hour and 59 minutes.

On Sunday, Ungur and Krajinovic will meet for the third time (1-1 head to head). The pair’s last encounter took place in Todi 2012 with the Serbian winning in three sets.
