The final of the “Roland-Garros Junior Wild-Card Series by OPPO” competition will be played at Roland Garros stadium, Saturday 25 May, on “Roland Garros Kids’ Day”. Proceedings will start at 9 am on court 14*.
This final phase will be contested by 3 girls and 3 boys under the age of 18 from three countries (Brazil, India and China). They will be playing for a wildcard in the main draw of the junior tournaments, which will be held from 2 to 8 June on the courts at Roland Garros.
These young players earned their place in the final by winning the qualifying rounds on clay in their home country, in Itajaíin Brazil, Anning in China and New Delhi in India.
This event is part of the “Rendez-Vous à Roland-Garros” operation that aims to increase media coverage of the Roland-Garros tournament in countries where tennis is rapidly developing, as well as promoting clay-court tennis.
The Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by Oppo, which is celebrating its 6th anniversary this year, is a wonderful springboard for young players from the three participating countries.
