LONDON, May 28, 2019 (Press Release)
Three Top 50 players will be part of a ferociously strong line-up of players trying to earn qualification for the main draw of the Fever-Tree Championships at The Queen’s Club.
Over the weekend of 15th and 16th June, last year’s semifinalist Jeremy Chardy (ranked No. 41), talented 21-year-old Taylor Fritz (No.42) and No.48 Adrian Mannarino will lead the qualifying draw.
They are joined on the qualifying entry list by big-serving American Reilly Opelka, Australia’s Bernard Tomic, who reached a career-high No.17 three years ago, and the unpredictable hot-shot specialist Alexander Bublik.
The field is so strong that five players ranked inside the world’s Top 100, including 2005 runner-up Ivo Karlovic, were unable to get in.
Four players will advance to the main draw, which is set to feature defending champion Marin Cilic, British No.1 Kyle Edmund, and many of the best young stars in the world, such as World No.6 Stefanos Tsitsipas, Frances Tiafoe and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
It is free for spectators to access The Queen’s Club to watch qualifying at the Fever-Tree Championships, but limited to 800 people. All visitors to the tournament will be subject to security bag scans.
