Pablo Andujar clinched his third title of the season, winning the 26th edition of the €92,080 Moneta Czech Open held on clay at the TK Prostejov. The No. 3 seed from Spain defeated the tournament’s No. 11 Attila Balazs of Hungary 6-2, 7-5 in Saturday’s singles final.
Andujar, who advanced to the title match without dropping a set, capitalized on six of his 11 break point opportunities to prevail after one hour and 44 minutes.

“I had a good start into the match but my opponent then changed the rhythm, began to find the lines and improved his level of play. He made it difficult for me but eventually I was able to adapt and I was the better player at the end,” Andujar said.
Following his triumphs on home soil in Marbella and Alicante earlier this season, the 33-year-old Cuenca native takes awasy from the Czech Republic €12,250 in prize money as well as 100 ATP-Ranking points.
On Friday, Philipp Oswald of Austria and Filip Polasek from Slovakia took the doubles crown. The unseeded tandem beat Czech wild card entries Jiri Lehecka and Jiri Vesely 6-4, 7-6(4). The encounter lasted one hour and 29 minutes.
