“It’s so amazing. I almost can’t even believe it. I’m still trying to take it in,” Fritz said. “I’ve wanted to win a Tour title ever since I made the final of one when I was 18. It feels like I’ve just been waiting so long. I’m so happy.”
Fritz took away from the seaside resort in East Sussex $117,925 as well as 250 ATP-Ranking points.
Cabal/Farah claim first title on grass
On Friday, Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah of Colombia defeated Argentines Maximo Gonzalez and Horacio Zeballos 3-6, 7-6(4), 10-6 to win their first grass-court title. The final lasted one hour and 35 minutes.
“We’re working hard and I feel like those are just numbers for us. The important thing is to keep putting in the work, putting in the work on court, keep surpassing challenges and just have fun out there and compete,” Farah said. “It’s been great. We’ve had a great year and at the end we hope to keep working hard to keep having those results.”
