Hugo Dellien is the champion of the 2019 Aspira Tennis Cup Trofeo BCS in Milan. The top seed of the €46,600 ATP Challenger clay-court event defeated Danilo Petrovic from Serbia 7-5, 6-4 on Sunday evening.
Dellien saved eight of the 10 break points he faced, converting four of his 11 own chances to secure victory in one hour and 46 minutes.

“I didn’t feel comfortable on the court today, I was nervous, I had an obligation to win,” Dellien said. “There is a big difference between losing in the final and winning the tournament. Despite not having played as I wanted, I fought with the right spirit and this made the difference.”
By lifting his fifth ATP Challenger trophy, his second of the season following his triumph in Santiago de Chile, the World No. 93 takes away from Italy €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP-Ranking points. Dellien will next travel to London facing John Millman of Australia in his first career grass-court match.
