M15 Wetzlar GER – Mats Rosenkranz celebrates his maiden trophy on home soil

Left-handed Mats Rosenkranz is the champion of the Wetzlar Open 2019. The 14th edition of the tournament, which is part of the German Masters Series presented by Wilson, was hosted at the venue of the TC Wetzlar 1912 e.V.

The 20-year-old German, who is practicing in the Tennis Academy of Heiner and Peter Moraing in Mülheim an der Ruhr, battled past Andrea Bolla from Italy in the semi-finals, winning in straight sets.

Brazilian No. 3 seed Bruno Sant’anna came from the top half of the draw, edging out German top seed Lucas Gerch, who clinched the title in Kassel three weeks ago, in three sets.

Striking 11 aces in the 71 minutes lasting title match, unseeded Rosenkranz sealed a 6-4, 6-3 victory to lift his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

“Being the underdog in the final helped me a lot to stay calm during the match. The windy conditions were very difficult, but I served well and was wide awake in the decisive moments. I was able to go ahead with my match plan,” Rosenkranz stated.

In addition to his triumph in the singles competition, he captured the doubles trophy together with his Australian partner James Frawley, beating the German tandem Niklas Schell and Constantin Schmitz 12-10 in the match tie-break.

M25 Vogau AUT – Teenager Jonas Forejtek triumphs in Austria

The M25 Vogau tournament, held at the venue of the TC Kern, culminated in the triumph of Jonas Forejtek. In addition to his singles title, the Czech also hoisted the doubles trophy alongside his compatriot Jan Mertl.

The 18-year-old Pilsen native, who is currently ranked No. 5 in ITF Juniors, emerged victorious from the all-Czech semifinal against No.6 seeded Vit Kopriva in straight sets.

Argentinean runner-up Camilo Ugo Carabelli, who entered the tournament on position three, advanced to the title match by defeating No. 7 seeded Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo from Spain in three sets.

Unseeded Forejtek, who is practicing at the Alexander Waske Tennis-University in Offenbach, made one point less in the title match than his 20-year-old opponent but secured victory a 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 victory after two hours and 38 minutes. M25 Chiswick GBR – Teenager Jack Draper captures back-to-back titles on home soil

17-year-old Jack Draper clinched the title of the GB Pro-Series Chiswick, held at Chiswick Riverside Health and Racquets Club, to lift his second consecutive trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his championship in Roehampton last week.

The British No. 5 seed stopped the way of top seeded Austrian Jurij Rodionov in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Dutch veteran Igor Sijsling, who entered the competition on position two, rallied past 18-year-old British wildcard entry Anton Matusevich in the semi-finals in three sets.

Left-handed Draper outpointed the Dutch veteran 81-74 to get the final win by the score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. The Sutton-born celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF Pro Circuit.

M25 Appiano ITA – Third title of the season on Italian soil for Christian Lindell

Following his title win in Santa Margherita di Pula and Casinalbo earlier this season, 27-year-old Christian Lindell prevailed at the Sparkassen Trophy, held at Tennisclub Rungg in Appiano.

The Rio de Janeiro native, who is representing Sweden, knocked off left-handed Italian Andrea Guerrieri in the stage of the final four in two sets.

No. 8 seeded Riccardo Balzerani advanced from the all-Italian semifinal versus ITF entry Pietro Rondoni in straight sets.

Unseeded Lindell broke the service of his 20-year-old rival six times by dropping three service games, to close the match out after two hours and 24 minutes, winning 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. The clay-court specialist celebrated his 13th clay-court trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Edwardsville USA – Petros Chrysochos gets the trophy in Illinois

After defeating five US-American players in a row, Petros Chrysochos got the crown of the M25 Edwardsville tournament held at Edwardsville High School.

The 23-year-old Cypriot fought past Ezekiel Clark in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Nathan Ponwith emerged victorious from the all-US-American semifinal against qualifier Alexander Lebedev in three sets.

No. 6 seeded Chrysochos fired 14 aces in the championship match, which lasted two hours and 26 minutes, to claim a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 win. The Larnaca native lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Pozoblanco ESP – Teenager Rayane Roumane captures his maiden trophy

The Open de Tenis Ciudad de Pozoblanco concluded with the championship of Rayane Roumane.

The 18-year-old French, who celebrated his first title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, eased past No. 2 seeded Illya Marchenko from the Ukraine in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Tournament’s No. 8 Konstantin Kravchuk from Russia, who was previously ranked ATP No. 78, booked the spot in the final by beating Spaniard Pablo Vivero Gonzalez in straight sets.

Lasting 84 minutes, unseeded Roumane converted four of his six break-point chances by losing two service games, to get the final win by the score of 6-4, 7-5.

M25 Portoviejo ECU – Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera prevails in Ecuador

21-year-old Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera clinched the title of the Copa Tamarindo Open, hosted at Portoviejo Tennis Club.

The former No. 5 in ITF Junior’s ranking rallied down Peruvian No. 4 seed Mauricio Echazu in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Argentinean No. 2 seed Juan Pablo Ficovich took the last step to the final in beating No. 3 seeded teenager Nicolas Mejia from Colombia, who was ranked No. 4 in ITF Juniors last year, in two sets.

Winning 81 per cent of his first-service points, top seed Barrios Vera claimed the final victory by the score 6-2, 6-0 after 62 minutes, to lift his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Jakarta INA – Vladyslav Orlov with his maiden title on the ITF Pro Circuit

The Combiphar International Tennis Tournament 2019, held at Sultan Hotel Tennis Court in Jakarta, concluded with the victory of Vladyslav Orlov.

The 24-year-old Ukrainian knocked off Japanese qualifier Takashi Saito in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

No. 3 seed Kuan-Yi Lee from Chinese Taipei emerged victorious from the semi-finals against left-handed Italian teenager Emiliano Maggioli, who entered the competition on position seven, in straight sets.

Unseeded Orlov outpointed his 22-year-old rival in the championship match by the score of 106-93, to claim a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 victory after two hours and 39 minutes. The Kharkiv native celebrated his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Tabarka TUN – Corentin Denolly celebrates his third title of the season

Corentin Denolly prevailed at the Magic Tours tournament, hosted at Thabraca Magic Hotel. Following titles in Monastir and Madrid earlier this season, he clinched his third title in 2019.

The 22-year-old won the semifinal against No. 7 seeded teenager Clement Tabur, who was rankend No. 10 in ITF Juniors last year, in three sets.

Italian Daniele Capecchi defeated 17-year-old No. 8 seed Filip Cristian Jianu from Romania, who was ranked ITF No. 5 in junior’s ranking earlier this season, in straight sets.

Lefty Denolly converted six of his eight break-point opportunities by losing three service games to finish the championship match after one hour and 48 minutes by the score  6-4, 6-3. The top seed lifted his seventh singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

In addition to his singles championship, the former No. 3 in ITF Junior rankings clinched the doubles trophy together with his compatriot Clement Tabur.

M15 Ystad SWE – Gustav Hansson triumphs on home soil

Gustav Hansson is the champion of the M15 Ystad tournament, held at Ystad Tennis Club.

The 24-year-old Swede, who knocked off his top seeded compatriot Markus Eriksson in the stage of the final eight, battled past Argentinean Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the semi-finals in three sets. 17-year-old Cerundolo was ranked No. 9 in ITF Juniors last year.

Danish qualifier August Holmgren advanced from the bottom half of the draw by beating left-handed No. 2 seed Patrik Niklas-Salminen from Finland in three sets.

No. 8 seeded Hansson won 73 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 7-6, 6-1 victory in one hour and 48 minutes. The Karlskrona native lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Novi Sad SRB – Peter Nagy ends title drought

Peter Nagy from Hungary got the crown of the M15 Novi Sad tournament, held at Tennis Club Meridiana.

The 27-year-old overcame the last hurdle to the final by defeating Croatian qualifier Duje Kekez in three sets.

Serbian No. 5 seed Marko Miladinovic, who was ranked No. 2 in ITF Juniors last year, battled past Tadeas Paroulek from the Czech Republik in the semi-finals in three sets.

Unseeded Nagy outpointed his 18-year-old rival in the title match 74-67, to secure a 7-6, 6-4 win after exactly two hours. Following his titles in 2015 and 2016, the Budapest-born lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Koszalin POL – Martins Podzus caps dream week

The Toyota Koszalin Open 2019, held at Klub Tenisowy „Baltyk“, culminated in the triumph of Martins Podzus. The Latvian also clinched the doubles trophy alongside his twin brother Janis Podzus.

In the semi-finals, the 25-year-old emerged victorious from the encounter with top seeded Russian veteran Ivan Nedelko in three sets.

No. 3 seed David Poljak from the Czech Republic rallied past Polish No. 7 seed Michal Dembek in straight sets.

No. 4 seed Podzus withstood  eight aces from his 23-year-old rival to secure a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win after about two hours. The Riga native lifted his fifth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Santa Cruz de la Sierra BOL – Juan Bautista Otegui captures his maiden trophy

Juan Bautista Otegui claimed the title of the Copa Santa Cruz, hosted at Club de Tenis Santa Cruz, to lift his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The 20-year-old Argentinian, who entered the tournament on position three, advanced to the final by defeating Brazilian No. 5 seed Joao Lucas Reis da Silva in a tough three-set battle.

Colombian No. 8 seed Juan Sebastian Gomez, who was ranked ITF No. 1 as a junior, edged past Alex Blumenberg in the semi-finals in two close sets.

Bautista Otegui won the title match by the score of 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 after almost three hours of play.

M15 Eupen BEL – Gonzalo Villanueva earns his second title of the season

No. 2 seed Gonzalo Villanueva triumphed at the KTC Eupen Open by BNP Paribas Fortis, held at KTC Eupen.

The 24-year-old advanced from the all-Argentinean semi-final encounter against No. 7 seed Genaro Alberto Olivieri, who was ranked ITF No. 8 as a junior, in straight sets.

No. 6 seed Michael Geerts from Belgium battled past Russian No. 8 seed Denis Klok in the semi-finals in two sets.

Parana-born Villanueva converted four of his six break-point chances by dropping one service game, to secure a 6-4, 6-1 win in the title match, which lasted 72 minutes. Following his title in Gubbio last month, he celebrated his second crown in 2019 and his fourth overall on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Targu Mures ROU – Marko Tepavac clinches his second title of the season

The M15 Targu Mures tournament, hosted at CS Municipal TG. Mures, concluded with the triumph of Marko Tepavac.

The 25-year-old Serb, who defeated Argentinean No. 8 seed Facundo Juarez in the stage of the last four in three sets, opposed No. 2 seed Hernan Casanova from Argentina in the championship match.

No. 7 seed Tepavac struck seven aces, winning 82 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 7-6, 6-2 victory after one hour and 53 minutes and celebrated his 17th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
