Nitto ATP Finals hopefuls are abound this week at the China Open in Beijing. Top seed Dominic Thiem is looking to secure his spot in London for the fourth straight year, and second seed and reigning Nitto ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev will also try to bolster his bid in Beijing.
Third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece is trying to clinch his London debut, and fourth seed Karen Khachanov will try to reach his first final of the season at the ATP 500 event. Fifth seed Roberto Bautista Agut and sixth seed Fabio Fognini are also looking to strengthen their positions in the ATP Race To London.
Djokovic leads Tokyo line-up
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic returns to tour-level action this week at the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships in Tokyo, where the Serbian is making his debut. Djokovic is going for his 76th tour-level title and fourth of the season in Japan.

He is joined in the field by second seed Borna Coric, last year’s Rolex Shanghai Masters finalist; third seed David Goffin, the 2017 Tokyo titlist; and fourth seed Benoit Paire, a two-time ATP titlist this season.
