M25 Ricany CZE – Michael Vrbensky triumphs on home soil
The Penta Trading Open 2019, hosted at Oaza Ricany, concluded with the double-championship of Michael Vrbensky. In addition to his victory in the singles competition, the Czech clinched the doubles trophy together with his countryman Jonas Forejtek, who claimed the 2019 US Open junior-singles title.
The 19-year-old stopped the title bid of top seeded German Daniel Masur in the stage of the last four winning the tie-break of the final set 12-10 after more than three hours of play.
The tournament’s No. 2 Vit Kopriva from the Czech Republic fought past Dutch No. 6 seed Niels Lootsma in the semi-finals in straight sets.
In the all-Czech championship match, unseeded Vrbensky won 83 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win after one hour and 50 minutes. The Nymburk native celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Shrewsbury GBR – Teenager Jack Draper earns his third title of the season
17-year-old Jack Draper is still the man to beat on British soil. The lef- handed Briton took the title of the GB Pro Series Shrewsbury, hosted at The Shrewsbury Club, to lift his third ITF Pro Circuit trophy on home this year.
The former No. 7 in ITF Juniors benefited from the retirement of German No. 6 seed Tobias Simon in the semi-finals at the score of 2-3 in the first set.
Italian No. 2 seed Julian Ocleppo advanced from the bottom half of the draw, beating No. 7 seeded Luke Johnson from Great Britain in three sets.
Top seeded Draper converted four of his nine break-point chances without losing a service game, to prevail after 69 minutes by the score of 6-4, 6-0. The Sutton native celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
“I’ve had a really, really good week. I’ve come through five rounds – got lucky in one of them in the semis. I’ve been fortunate, but at the same time I’ve played some really good tennis and I’m happy obviously to get the win,” said Draper.
“It was difficult [to maintain focus in the final] – I was feeling mentally a bit. I was really tired, it’s the end of the week. But yeah… I did play some really good stuff today, so to get over the line feels good.
“Hopefully now I move onto Challengers and we’ll see how I do. It’ll be a good challenge, but my level is definitely there. It’s just whether I can adjust quickly.”
M25 Darwin AUS – Blake Mott continues his great comeback run on home soil
Following his great comeback win in Cairns last week after a two-year hiatus, Blake Mott clinched the title of the Darwin Tennis International, hosted at Darwin International Tennis Centre.
The 23-year-old Australian battled past Perth-born Brydan Klein, who is representing Great Britain, in the stage of the last four in two sets. Klein, who entered the tournament on position three, was ranked ITF No. 4 as a junior.
Calum Puttergill emerged victorious from the all-Australian semi-final clash versus qualifier Will Maher in straight sets.
In the title match, wildcard entry Mott struck seven aces to seal a 6-1, 6-4 win in 73 minutes to celebrate his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Almaty KAZ – Jurabek Karimov seals surprising win

21-year-old Jurabek Karimov got the championship of the M25 Almaty tournament, which was held at Tennis Center „ACE“.
The former No. 6 in ITF Juniors advanced from the top half of the draw, defeating No. 4 seeded Denis Yevseyev from Kazakhstan in three sets.
Wildcard entry Beibit Zhukayev from Kazakhstan rallied past Austrian No. 3 seed Jurij Rodionov in the semi-finals in three sets. Left-handed Rodionov was ranked ITF No. 7 as a junior.
Lasting one hour and 49 minutes, unseeded Karimov won 87 per cent of his first-service points to get the final victory by the score of 7-5, 6-3. The Tashkent native lifted his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Jounieh LBN – Adam Moundir claims his maiden trophy
French-born Adam Moundir, who is representing Morocco, emerged victorious at the M15 Jounieh tournament, hosted at Automobile and Touring Club Lebanon.
The 24-year-old fought his way from the bottom half of the draw, defeating No. 7 seeded Laurynas Grigelis from Lithuania in three sets.
Top seeded Corentin Denolly from France, who was ranked ITF No. 3 as a junior, edged past Egyptian No. 3 seed Karim-Mohamed Maamoun in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Luzern resident Moundir won 91 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to secure a 6-4, 6-3 victory against his left-handed opponent in 66 minutes. He lifted his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Oliveira de Azemeis POR – Skander Mansouri secures his fourth season title
Following his three titles in Monastir earlier this season, Skander Mansouri prevailed at the Open Azemeis, held at Clube Tenis Azemeis, to lift his fourth trophy on the ITF Pro Circuit in 2019.
The 24-year-old Tunisian rallied past French No. 4 seed Matteo Martineau in the stage of the final four in three sets.
The tournament’s No. 6 Eduardo Struvay from Colombia knocked off top seeded Spaniard Roberto Ortega-Olmedo in the semi-finals in a tough three-set battle.
Converting all of his four break-point opportunities without dropping a service game, No. 2 seeded Mansouri got the final win by the score of 6-2, 6-1 after 53 minues. The Tunis native celebrated his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Stockholm SWE – Kacper Zuk clinches his third title of the season
The Catella Open held at the Good to Great Academy – Catella Arena in Stockholm, concluded with the triumph of Kacper Zuk.
The Polish young gun eased past Russian No. 6 seed Evgenii Tiurnev in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 3 seeded Botic van de Zandschulp from the Netherlands booked the spot in the final, beating Latvian Martins Podzus in straight sets.
Unseeded Zuk fired 14 aces in the title match to claim a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win after one hour and 57 minutes. The 20-year-old captured his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won in 2019.
M25 Harlingen USA – Teenager Govind Nanda triumphs on home soil in Texas
Govind Nanda is the champion of the M15 Harlingen tournament, hosted at Harlingen Country Club in El Camino Real.
The 18-year-old US-American stopped the run of German qualifier Timo Stodder, who is playing for the University of Tennessee, in the stage of the final four in two sets.
Bulgarian qualifier Adrian Andreev, who was ranked No. 2 in ITF Juniors last year, advanced from the top half of the draw, defeating Alex Rybakov from the United States in straight sets.
Unseeded Nanda broke his opponents service five times by losing three service games to prevail 6-4, 6-4 after one hour and 39 minutes. Following his championship in Tucson earlier this season, the Loma native lifted his second overall trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Santa Margherita di Pula ITA – Nerman Fatic captures back-to-back titles
Last week’s Zlatibor champion Nerman Fatic from Bosnia and Herzegovina clinched the trophy of the M25 Santa Margherita di Pula tournament, held at ASD Fortevillage.
The 24-year-old eased past No. 6 seeded Italian Jacopo Berrettini in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
17-year-old wildcard entry Flavio Cobolli from Italy, who is currently ranked 26 in ITF Juniors, booked the spot in the final, beating Frenchman Samuel Bensoussan in three sets.
No. 5 seeded Fatic broke his opponent’s service six times by losing two service games to get the final win by the score of 6-2, 6-2 after 92 minutes. The Sarajevo-native celebrated his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Johannesburg RSA – Benjamin Lock crowns his perfect week

The SA Spring Open, hosted at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, concluded with the triumph of Benjamin Lock. In addition to his championship in the singles competition, the Zimbabwean clinched the doubles trophy together with his brother Courtney John Lock.
The semi-finals featured the top four seeds and the tournament’s No. 1 Lock edged past his No. 3 seeded compatriot Takanyi Garanganga in straight sets.
Bulgarian No. 4 seed Alexander Donski advanced against No. 2 seeded David Pichler from Austria in three sets.
26-year-old Lock withstood 18 aces from his 23-year-old opponent to seal a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 victory in two hours and 49 minutes. The Harare native celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on African hard courts.
M15 Forbach FRA – Elmar Ejupovic prevails in Alsace
26-year-old Elmar Ejupovic is the champion of the Future de Forbach, held at US Forbach Tennis.
The German No. 3 seed battled past Hugo Schott from France in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
French Harold Mayot, who is coached by former ATP No. 10 Thierry Tulasne, advanced from the top half of the draw, beating left handed German Stefan Seifert in two sets. 17-year-old Mayot is currently ranked No. 11 in ITF Juniors and reached the semi-finals at the Junior Championships in Wimbledon this year.
In the championship match, Wofsburg-born Ejupovic made three points more than his opponent to secure a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win after almost two hours. He celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Antalya TUR – Paul Wörner clinches his maiden title
Paul Wörner got the trophy of the GD Tennis Cup Series hosted at Kaya Belek Resort Hotel in Antalya.
The 23-year-old German, who has been coached by former ATP No. 42 Martin Sinner since three months, stopped the run of Turkish wildcard entry Sarp Agabigun in the semi-finals in three sets.
Turkish veteran Marsel Ilhan, who entered the tournament on position five, advanced from the top half of the draw, defeating teenaged qualifier Luka Pavlovic from France in straight sets.
No. 7 seeded Wörner came back from a set down in the championship match, to seal a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 victory after two hours and 18 minutes. The Oberkirch native celebrated his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Melilla ESP – Ricardo Ojeda Lara triumphs on home soil
No. 3 seeded Ricardo Ojeda Lara is the champion of the Internacional Masculino C.A. Melilla, held at Pistas Municipales de Tenis Alvarez Claro.
The 26-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Spanish semi-final clash versus top seeded Eduard Esteve Lobato in straight sets.
No.4 seeded Timofei Skatov from Kazakhstan, who was ranked No. 1 in ITF Juniors last year, made the last step to the final by beating Spanish No. 5 seed Imanol Lopez Morillo in straight sets.
Cadiz-born Ojeda Lara outpointed his 18-year-old rival by the score of 72-61 to seal a 7-5, 6-4 victory in exactly two hours of play. He celebrated his 13th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his championship on the ATP Challenger Tour in Meerbusch 2017.
M15 Tabarka TUN – Ignacio Monzon celebrates his maiden title
21-year-old Ignacio Monzon claimed the Magic Tours trophy at the Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka without losing a set the entire week.
The Argentinian stopped the title bid of left handed top seed Aziz Dougaz from Tunisia in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
No. 2 seeded teenager Filip Cristian Jianu from Romania, who was already ranked No. 5 in ITF Juniors this year, battled past Slovenian No. 5 seed Tomas Lipovsek Puches in the semi-finals in two sets.
Capitalizing on six of his 10 break-point chances by losing one service game, unseeded Monzon got the final victory by the score of 6-1, 6-2 after 85 minutes to lift his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Chornomorsk UKR – Debut title for Vitaliy Sachko on home soil
Ukrainian Vitaliy Sachko triumphed at the Elite Tennis Club Cup in Chornomorsk, to lift his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 22-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Ukrainian semi-final encounter against No. 3 seeded Nikita Mashtakov in straight sets.
Top seeded Marco Bortolotti from Italy rallied past Hungarian No. 8 seed Gergely Madarasz in the stage of the final four in two sets.
Unseeded Sachko converted nine of his 14 break-point opportunities in the title match to claim a 7-5, 4-6, 6-1 win after two hours and 23 minutes.
M15 Cancun MEX – Jorge Brian Panta earns his maiden trophy
This week’s Cancun Tennis Cup, held at Cancun Tennis Academy, concluded with the triumph of Jorge Brian Panta. In addition to his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the Peruvian took the doubles title alongside Juan Sebastian Gomez from Colombia.
The former No. 9 in ITF Juniors, who entered the tournament on position six, stopped the run of left handed qualifier Mauricio Astorga from Mexico in the stage of the final four in two sets.
Peruvian No. 2 seed Mauricio Echazu benefited in the semi-finals by the retirement of No. 7 seeded Cristian Rodriguez from Colombia at the score of 6-7, 2-4.
Lasting two hours and 29 minutes, 24-year-old Panta outpointed his 30-year-old rival 71-66 to celebrate a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win in the championship match.

No. 6 seeded Spaniard Jose Fco. Vidal Azorin took the last step to the final by defeating Simon Beaupain from Belgium in three sets.

Left handed Makoto Ochi triumphed at the M15 Nanchang tournament held at the Zhong Chang Hong Wang Center.
The top seeded Japanese fought past Estonian No. 6 seed Vladimir Ivanov in the semi-finals in three sets.
Yan Sabanin from Russia finished runner-up and booked the spot in the final by beating Japanese No. 4 seed Takashi Saito in straight sets.
23-year-old Ochi withstood 13 aces from his 29-year-old rival to secure 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 victory in almost three hours of play. He celebrated his fourth title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on Asian soil.
