M25 Lagos NGR – Calvin Hemery triumphs in Nigeria
The Lagos Open, held at Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, concluded with the championship of Calvin Hemery.
The 24-year-old French, who reached a career high ranking of World No. 146 last year, rallied past Takanyi Garanganga from Zimbabwe in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
No. 6 seeded Aldin Setkic from Bosnia and Herzegovina took the last step to the final by defeating Austrian No. 4 seed David Pichler in three sets.
Hemery fired 13 aces and won 95 per cent of his first-service point to celebrate a 6-1, 6-2 win after 69 minutes in the title match. The Paris resident lifted his fourth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his triumph on the ATP Challenger Tour in Tampere 2017.

“I’m very happy with this win. It was a tough week for me, especially with the weather, it wasn’t easy to stay very focused. You know we played a lot of matches on the same day and I had to keep my concentration every single match and to finish with the trophy is very great for me. I am very happy,” Hemery said.
“It was a tough match with long rallies so I had to stay focused, every single point. You have to stay focused all the match even if the score looks easy. So, it was an easy score but not an easy match.”
M25 Toowoomba AUS – Dayne Kelly seals home win
Dayne Kelly clinched the trophy of the Hooper Accountants Toowoomba International, hosted at Toowoomba Regional Tennis Centre.
The left-handed Australian advanced to the final by beating Alexis Musialek from France in straight sets.
The tournament’s No. 6 Jacob Grills emerged victorious from the all-Australian semi-final clash versus No. 3 seeded Maverick Banes in two sets.
29-year-old Kelly won 79 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 1-6, 6-3, 6-0 win in the title match after one hour and 41 minutes. He lifted his 14th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2019.

M25 Rio de Janeiro BRA – Sebastian Baez clinches his fourth title of the season
Unseeded teenager Sebastian Baez triumphed at the Torneio Internacional Masculino de Tenis, held at Rio de Janeiro Country Club.
The former No. 1 in the ITF Juniors Ranking benefitted from the retirement of the tournament’s top favourite Christian Lindell from Sweden in the stage of the final four in the first set.
Argentinean No. 3 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry advanced from the bottom half of the draw, defeating No. 2 seeded Felipe Meligeni Rodrigues Alves from Brazil in straight sets.
In the championship match, Etcheverry had to retire in the final set at the score of 4-6, 6-4, 4-1. 18-year-old Baez celebrated his fourth clay-court title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won in 2019.
M25 Santa Margherita di Pula ITA – Teenager Giulio Zeppieri earns debut title
Left-handed Giulio Zeppieri is the champion of the M25 Santa Margherita di Pula tournament, hosted at ASD Fortevillage.
The No. 5 seed of Italy benefitted from the retirement of No. 8 seeded Nerman Fatic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who clinched two titles in Sardinia in the last two weeks, in the semi-finals at the score of 4-1.
No. 6 seed Bruno Sant’anna from Brazil finished runner-up and took the last step to the championship match by beating German No. 3 seed Peter Torebko in three sets.
17-year-old Zeppieri won 84 per cent of his first-service points to prevail 6-3, 6-2 after 66 minutes. The Rome-born lifted his maiden trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Riba – Roja de Turia ESP – Teenager Carlos Gimeno Valero captures his maiden trophy
The III Torneo Internacional CT El Collao, held at Club de Tenis El Collao, concluded with the victory of Carlos Gimeno Valero.
The 18-year-old Spaniard, who is currently ranked No. 16 in the ITF Juniors Ranking, battled past Argentinean No. 8 seed Manuel Pena Lopez in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Swiss Johan Nikles, who clinched the title in Sabadell last week, knocked off Spanish top seed Oriol Roca Batalla in the semi-finals in three sets.
Gimeno Valero broke his 22-year-old rival five times by dropping two service games to seal a 6-4, 6-2 win in 72 minutes. The wildcard entry celebrated his first ever title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Claremont USA – Michael Geerts prevails in California
Michael Geerts claimed the trophy of the Oracle Pro Series, hosted at The Claremont Club.
The 24-year-old Belgian rallied past Raymond Sarmiento from the United States in the semi-finals in straight sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Liam Broady from Great Britain, who was ranked ITF No. 2 as a junior, advanced to the final by beating US-American No. 3 seed Evan Song in a battle of the lefties in two sets.
No. 4 seeded Geerts won 85 per cent of his first-service points in the 69 minutes lasting championship match to secure a 6-3, 6-2 win. The Antwerp native lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Tay Ninh VIE – Daniel Nguyen clinches back-to-back titles in Tay Ninh
Following his championship last week at the same place, Daniel Nguyen was again victorious at the Hai Dang Tennis Cup, held at Hai Dang Sport Complex in Tay Ninh.
The No. 7 seed from the United States came from the bottom half of the draw, beating left-handed Billy Harris from Great Britain in three sets.
No. 6 seed Rio Noguchi of Japan benefitted from the retirement of top seeded Chinese Yan Bay in the semi-finals at the score of 6-4, 3-2.
28-year-old Nguyen capitalized on four of his 11 break-point chances by losing one service game to prevail 6-4, 6-2 after 76 minutes. The Long Beach-born celebrated his 15th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.
M15 Cancun MEX – Alec Adamson crowns his perfect week
The Cancun Tennis Cup, hosted at Cancun Tennis Academy, concluded with the triumph of Alec Adamson. In addition to his championship in the singles competition, the US-American captured the doubles trophy together with his countryman Luke Jacob Gamble.
The No. 6 seed emerged victorious from the all-US American semi-final encounter against left-handed qualifier Alexander Knight in three sets.
Jorge Brian Panta from Peru, who entered the tournament on position five, cruised past Irish Julian Bradley in the semi-finals in straight sets, reaching his third consecutive final in Cancun.
25-year-old Adamson outpointed his rival 87-70 to get the final win by the score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 after two hours and 36 minutes. The Hinsdale-born celebrated his maiden singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Burgas BUL – Fabrizio Ornago seals another title on clay court
27-year-old Fabrizio Ornago triumphed at the Avenue Cup 2019, hosted at Tennis Club Avenue in Burgas.
The Italian top seed benefitted from the retirement of No. 3 seed Marko Tepavac of Serbia in the stage of the final four, leading 6-7, 6-2, 4-1.
No. 5 seed Peter Nagy of Hungary made the last step to the final by defeating the tournament’s No. 3 Alexander Lazarov from Bulgaria in three sets.
In the championship match, 27-year-old Nagy had to retire after losing the first set 2-6. Gorgonzola resident Ornago lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Marek Gengel captures back-to-back-titles in Sharm El Sheikh
Marek Gengel won the title of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square. After his maiden title last week at the same place, the Czech celebrated his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The No. 6 seed advanced from the top half of the draw, beating Barcelona-born Jordi Munoz-Abreu, who is representing Venezuela, in straight sets.
No. 2 seeded Adam Moundir from Morocco rallied past Italy’s No. 4 seed Giorgio Ricca in the stage of the last four in two sets.
24-year-old Gangel did not face a break point by converting four of his own five break-point-chances to prevail 6-2, 6-3 after 58 minutes.
Besides his championship in the singles competition, the Rakovnik native clinched the doubles trophy alongside Anis Ghorbel from Tunisia.
M15 Tabarka TUN – Ignacio Monzon clinches another trophy in Tabarka
Following his triumph at the same place two weeks ago, Ignacio Monzon clinched the title of the Magic Tours tournament, held at Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka, to celebrate his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 21-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Argentinean semi-final encounter against No. 6 seeded Fermin Tenti in three sets.
The tournament’s No. 8 Nicolas Moreno de Alboran from the United States battled past No. 5 seed Simone Roncalli of Italy in the stage of the last four in two sets.
Unseeded Monzon broke his opponent’s serve five times by dropping one service game in the championship match to claim a 6-3, 6-1 win after one hour and 21 minutes.
In addition to his victory in the singles competition, he captured the doubles trophy alongside his countryman Fermin Tenti.
M15 Antalya TUR – Clay-court specialist Mate Valkusz captures his third title of the season
Mate Valkusz from Hungary is the champion of the GD Tennis Cup Series, hosted at Kaya Belek Resort Hotel in Antalya.
The former No. 1 in the ITF Juniors Ranking, who entered the tournament on position three, rallied past left-handed wildcard entry Aleksandre Bakshi from Georgia in the semi-finals in three sets.
Fabian Marozsan from Hungary took the last step to the final by defeating Croatian No. 6 seed Matija Pecotic, who clinched the title in Jounieh last week, in straight sets.
Winning 73 per cent of his first-service points, 21-year-old Valkusz prevailed in the all-Hungarian title match after 77 minutes, winning 6-2, 7-5. The No. 3 seed celebrated his eighth clay-court title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in 2019.
M15 Karshi UZB – Khumoyun Sultanov celebrates his maiden title
20-year-old Khumoyun Sultanov triumphed at the Karshi Men’s International, held at Karshi Tenis Club, to lift his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The Uzbek young gun edged past Russian No. 4 seed Alexander Igoshin in the stage of the final four in two clear sets.
18-year-old qualifier Beibit Zhukayev from Kazakhstan emerged victorious from the semi-final battle of the teenagers, beating Alibek Kachmazov from Russia in straight sets. 17-year-old Kachmazov entered the tournament by his current junior ranking.
No. 2 seeded Sultanov capitalized on four of his 11 break-point opportunities without losing a service game in the title match to seal a 6-2, 6-1 win after 71 minutes.
