M15 Sao Paulo BRA – Bastian Malla secures another trophy on clay court

Left-handed Bastian Malla clinched the title of the IS Open Sao Paulo Ano VII, hosted at Clube Paineiras do Morumby, to lift his ninth clay-court trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The top seeded Chilean stopped the run of No. 3 seed Matias Zukas from Argentina in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

No. 2 seeded Rafael Matos emerged victorious from the all-Brazilian semi-final battle versus qualifier Igor Marcondes in three sets.

23-year-old Malla dropped one service game in the championship match and converted four of his seven break-point chances to prevail 6-3, 6-2 after 74 minutes.

“I had a great weak at Paineiras do Morumby Tennis Club.I want to thank the Brazilians and IS Open SP for the organization, my family and all people who supported me,” Malla said after the match.

M15 Olomouc CZE – Robin Stanek ends title drought

Robin Stanek triumphed at the ITS Cup, held at ITS Tennis Academy in Olomouc.

The left-handed Czech advanced from the top half of the draw, beating German No. 7 seed Elmar Ejupovic in the tiebreak of the final set. The battle lasted more than three hours.

No. 8 seeded veteran Jaroslav Pospisil from the Czech Republic, who reached World No. 103 as a career high, edged past Dutch No. 3 seed Niels Lootsma in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Unseeded Stanek won 73 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to secure a 6-3, 6-4 win after one hour and 35 minutes. The 24-year-old from Praha celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour after his two Australian championships in 2015.

M25 Rodez FRA – Hugo Gaston celebrates his fourth title of the season

The Internationaux de Tennis du Grand Rodez Aveyron, hosted at Comite Departemental de Tennis Aveyron, concluced with the victory of teenager Hugo Gaston.

The 19-year-old French, who was ranked World No. 2 as a junior last year, battled past Yannick Mertens from Belgium in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

French Benjamin Bonzi, who entered the tournament on position two, took the last step to the final by beating Christopher Heyman from Belgium in two sets.

No. 3 seeded Gaston outpointed his 23-year-old rival 76-71 to prevail 7-6, 6-3 after 75 minutes. The Toulouse-born lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won in 2019.

M25 Lagos NGR – Calvin Hemery captures back-to-back titles in Nigeria

Following his triumph at the same place last week, Calvin Hemery got the championship of the Lagos Open, held at Lagos Lawn Tennis Club.

The French No. 5 seed eased past Aziz Ouakaa from Tunisia in the semi-finals in straight sets.

No. 7 seeded Aldin Setkic from Bosnia and Herzegovina advanced from the top half of the draw, defeating Zimbabwean No. 6 seed Takanyi Garanganga in two clear sets.

In the title match, 24-year-old Hemery benefited from the retirement of his experienced opponent leading 4-2. The Paris resident celebrated his sixth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Waco USA – Michael Geerts prevails in Texas

Michael Geerts claimed the trophy of the Oracle Pro Series, hosted at Baylor University – Hurd Tennis Center.

The 24-year-old Belgian stopped the run of the Chilean wildcard entry Matias Soto in the stage of the final four in two close sets.

Left-handed Alex Rybakov emerged victorious from the all-US American semi-final clash versus Buenos-Aires-born Jordi Arconada, who entered the tournament on position two, in straight sets.

Lasting almost three hours, Antwerp native Geerts made two points less than his 22-year-old opponent, to seal a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 win in the championship match. The No. 6 seed lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

“I played really well here, the conditions suit me,” said Geerts. “Every match I try to be as focused as possible, and in the end it really paid off for me. I maybe got a little bit lucky here and there, but it’s a lot of hard work in the last few months and years that helped the good feeling and good results on the courts these last two weeks.”

M15 Changwon KOR – Sanhui Shin claims his maiden title

Sanhui Shin is the champion of the Orion Cup M15 Changwon, which was held at Changwon Municipal Tennis Court.

The 22-year-old Korean fought his way through the top half of the draw, defeating top seeded Japanese Yuta Shimizu, who was ranked ITF No. 5 as a junior, in straight sets.

US-American No. 6 seed Dusty H. Boyer battled past the former No. 9 in the ITF Junior rankings, Naoki Nakagawa from Japan, in the semi-finals in three sets.

Unseeded Shin broke his opponent’s serve four times in the title match to claim a 7-5, 6-2 win after 83 minutes. The Seoul native celebrated his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Getafe ESP – Teenager Anton Matusevich seals his maiden trophy

The VI Torneo Internacional Ciudad de Getafe, held at CaralOcio, concluded with the championship of Anton Matusevich.

The 18-year-old Briton made the last step to the final by beating Spanish teenager Alejandro Garcia, who entered the tournament as a lucky loser, in three sets.

Spaniard Nicolas Alvarez Varona, who was ranked World No. 7 as a junior earlier this season, eased past Lucas Catarina from Monaco in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Unseeded Matusevich outpointed his rival 83-72 to win 7-5, 6-4 in one hour and 28 minutes. The junior-doubles champion of the US Open 2018 celebrated his first ever trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Doha QAT – Tobias Simon triumphs in middle east

Big-serving Tobias Simon claimed the trophy of the M15 Doha tournament, hosted at Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.

The 28-year-old German, who set a new World record last year by serving 52 aces in a best-of-three match, rallied past protected-ranking entry Marat Deviatiarov from the Ukraine in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

The tournament’s No. 2 Bogdan Bobrov from Russia knocked off Venezuelan No. 4 seed Ricardo Rodriguez in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 3 seeded Simon fired 16 aces during the 84 minutes lasting title match to claim a 6-3, 7-5 victory. The Munich resident lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Tabarka TUN – Duje Ajdukovic with debut title

Duje Ajdukovic is the champion of the Magic Tours tournament, held at Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka

The 18-year-old Croatian came from the bottom half of the draw by defeating No. 3 seeded Manuel Pena Lopez from Argentina in straight sets.

Top seeded Spaniard Pol Toledo Bague edged out No. 4 seed Nicolas Alberto Arreche of Argentina in the semi-finals in three sets.

In the championship match, No. 6 seed Ajdukovic did not face a break point and capitalized on four of his five break-point opportunities to secure a 6-3, 6-1 victory in 62 minutes. The teenager celebrated his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Karim-Mohamed Maamoun clinches his fifth title in 2019

The M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square concluded with Karim-Mohamed Maamoun winning the title.

The Egyptian top seed eased past Francesco Vilardo from Italy in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Czech Marek Gengel, who captured the title in Sharm El Sheikh last week, rallied down No. 4 seeded Pablo Vivero Gonzalez in the semi-finals in two sets.

28-year-old Mamoun outpointed his rival in the title match 99-91 to seal a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win after two hours and 13 minutes. The Cairo native lifted his 15th trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them on home soil.

M15 Antalya TUR – Teenager Lorenzo Musetti earns his maiden title

Top seeded Lorenzo Musetti triumphed at the GD Tennis Cup Series, hosted at Kaya Belek Resort Hotel in Antalya.

The 17-year-old Italian advanced from the semi-final battle of the former No. 1’s in the ITF Juniors Ranking, beating No. 4 eeded Mate Valkusz from Hungary in three sets.

Fabian Marozsan emerged victorious from the all-Hungarian semi-final encounter against junior entry Peter Fajta in straight sets.

Carrara-born Musetti lost two service games and converted all of his five break-point chances to prevail 7-5, 6-2 in the championship match after 68 minutes. He celebrated his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

No. 5 seed Cristian Rodriguez from Colombia took the last step to the final by defeating Peruvian No. 6 seed Jorge Brian Panta, who was ranked World No. 9 as a junior, in straight sets.

28-year-old Hank withstood the 11 aces from his opponent to get the final win by the score of 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 after two hours and 27 minutes. The Tijuana native lifted his fifth career trophy of the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

M15 Bukhara UZB – Shalva Dzhanashiya captures his maiden trophy

Shalva Dzhanashiya is the champion of the Bukhara Men’s International, hosted at Dilqusho Tennis Club.

The 27-year-old Russian rallied past Ivan Liutarevich from Belarus in the stage of the final four in three sets.

No. 7 seeded Maxim Ratniuk emerged victorious from the all-Russian semi-final encounter versus teenager Egor Noskin in two clear sets.

No. 3 seeded Dzhanashiya broke his opponent’s serve seven times in the title match to claim a 6-3, 7-6 win after two hours and 11 minutes. The Moscow native celebrated his first title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
