Belarusian Ilya Ivashka created the biggest upset of the day as he shocked fifth seeded and inform Indian Saketh Myneni, even as three other Indians Somdev Devvarman , Vijay Sundar Prashanth and Sanam Singh made it to second round of the singles at the US-$50000 KPIT  MSLTA ATP Challenger being organized by MSLTA and being played at the MSLTA School of tennis Mhalunge Balewadi Tennis  Complex here.

The 388th ranked Ivashka upset the 5th seeded 166 ranked Saketh Myneni  5-7,6-4,6-2  in just over 2 hours to  stop the winning run of Saketh.  N. Vijay Sundar Prashanth currently ranked 362 celebrated his birthday in style as he accounted for 266 ranked Arthur De Greef of Belgium winning 6-4,6-4 in 1 hour 15 minutes. Sanam Singh ousted Alessandro Bega of Italy 6-4,6-1 to make it to round of sixteen.

Sixth seeded Somdev Devvarman also had to face some anxious moments as he came back from being 3-5 down  in the second set to register a 6-4,7-5 win over a nervous 19 year old Maxime Janvier of France in 1 hour and 43 minutes.

Second seeded Evgeny Donskoy of Russia ranked 118 fresh from his run at the Kremlin Cup last week registered a 7-6(2),6-4 win over Danile Nyugen of USA in 1 hr and 30 minutes, third seeded Adrian Menendez-Maceiras of Spain also had a easy outing against Maxime Neuchrist of Austria winning  6-4,6-3  to cruise into the round of sixteen,

Wildcard Aryan  Goveas played  well but fell short as he went down fighting to Germain Gigounon of Belgium. The 220th ranked Gigounon won  6-7(1),6-2,6-3 in 2 hours and three minutes battle. Aryan gave a good account of himself on the court. With three Indians winning today and five already having won eight Indians will feature in the last sixteen.
