Jannik Sinner capped his dream week at the Next Gen ATP Finals by winning the title match against top seed Alex De Minaur of Australia on Saturday evening at the Allianz Cloud in Milan.
The 18-year-old Italian, who entered the tournament with a wild card, saved all seven break points he faced and capitalized on one of his own two break point chances to prevail 4-2, 4-1, 4-2 after one hour and four minutes.

“I don’t have words,” Sinner said. “He’s an unbelievable player. I just tried to play my game and not make any errors. I didn’t make many today, so I’m very happy with my performance.
“The week has been unbelievable. The crowd… You can hear them now. I’m very happy… I wouldn’t be here without the wild card, so thanks to everyone. I hope to be back here next year.”
Sinner adds the title in Milan to his two ATP Challenger trophies in Bergamo, Italy and Lexington, United States and joins South Korean Hyeon Chung (2017) and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (2018) as the champions at the Next Gen ATP Finals. Both Tsitsipas and Chung recorded their maiden Grand Slam semi-final at the Australian Open two months after capturing their respective titles.
Sinner collected $372,000 in prize money for his title run, surpassing his career earnings of $274,470 entering Milan. De Minaur took away from Northern Italy $295,000.
