Australian Open 2020 Wildcard Play-off: Bolt Leads Semi-Finals Line-Up

Competition continued on Wednesday for the Australian Open 2020 Wildcard Play-off, where some of Australia’s top players are competing for a coveted Australian Open 2020 wildcard.

The men’s semis are set after quarterfinal action wrapped at Melbourne Park today with John-Patrick Smith (Qld), Alex Bolt (SA), Max Purcell (NSW) and Maverick Banes (Qld) progressing through.

The women’s doubles final was also decided today, Gabriella Da Silva Fick (NSW) and Sara Tomic (Qld) will face Amber Marshall (SA) and Alexandra Bozovic (NSW) to compete for a wildcard into Australian Open 2020 doubles field.

Women’s singles quarterfinals will take place tomorrow, Thursday 12 December, with top seed Maddison Inglis (WA) joining Destanee Aiava (Vic), Belinda Woolcock (Vic), Arina Rodionova (Vic), Olivia Tjandramulia (Qld), Gabriella Da Silva Fick (NSW), and Storm Sanders (WA).

The December Showdown presented by Kia continues tomorrow with the third round 12/u and second round of the 16/u Australian Championships.
