M15 Santo Domingo DOM – Peter Bertran captures his maiden trophy on home soil
Peter Bertran clinched the trophy of the M15 Santo Domingo tournament, held at Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este, to celebrate his first title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 23-year-old from the Dominican Republic benefited from the retirement of Peruvian No. 4 seed Arklon Huertas del Pino after winning all five games played in the first set.
Top seeded Nick Hardt set the all-Dominican Republican final by beating Chilean No. 7 seed Michel Vernier in straight sets.
Unseeded Bertran outpointed his 19-year-old rival in the final 96-77 to secure a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory after two hours and 20 minutes.

“It’s always nice to come home and play the last three tournaments of the year,” Bertran said. “It was a tough week and it was hard work to win the title.”
M15 Heraklion GRE – David Pichler prevails in Crete
The 15th Lyttos Beach tournament, hosted at the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Heraklion, concluded with the championship of David Pichler.

The Austrian No. 5 seed, who is coached by Thomas Stengberger, battled through the bottom half of the draw by defeating Peter Kobelt from the United States in two sets.
Vitaly Sachko from the Ukraine defeated top seeded Spaniard Pablo Vivero Gonzalez, who had to retire in the semi-finals at the score of 2-6, 1-4.
In the title match, No. 8 seeded Sachko retired after losing the first set 1-6.
Twenty-three year-old Pichler, who is playing for UTC Casa Moda Steyr in the Austrian Tennis-Bundesliga, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, following his maiden title in Kiseljak 2017.
M15 Doha QAT – Dimitar Kuzmanov wins his third title of the season
Dimitar Kuzmanov emerged victorious at the 5th Qatar M15 Doha tournament, held at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.
The 26-year-old Bulgarian received a walkover in the semi-final against Matija Pecotic from Serbia, who clinched five titles this season.
No. 6 seeded Danylo Kalenichenko from the Ukraine took the last step to the final with a three-set win against Belgian No. 8 seed Zizou Bergs.
No. 5 seeded Kuzmanov capitalized on four of his seven break-point opportunities without facing a break point in the championship match to prevail 6-0, 6-4 after one hour and 16 minutes. The Plovdiv-born celebrated his third title in 2019 and his 20th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cairo EGY – Manuel Guinard seals win
Manuel Guinard is the champion of the M15 Cairo tournament, hosted at Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Center.
The top seed from France knocked off No. 3 seeded Dutch Niels Lootsma in the stage of the last four in two sets.
The tournament’s No. 2 Laurynas Grigelis from Lithuania battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Argentinean No. 8 seed Facundo Juarez in straight sets.
Saint-Malo native Guinard won 77 per cent of his first-service points and struck six aces in the title match to claim a 6-3, 6-2 victory after one hour and 40 minutes. The 24-year-old lifted his sixth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Monastir TUN – Skander Mansouri earns his fifth trophy of the season
The Magic Tours tournament, which was held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, concluded with the win of local favourite Skander Mansouri.
The 24-year-old Tunisian eased past Thomas Laurent from France in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 5 seed Ergi Kirkin of Turkey made the last step to the final by defeating Romanian qualifier Stefan Palosi in two sets.
Top seeded Mansouri lost one service game in the championship match and converted all of his six break-point chances to prevail 6-2, 6-0 in 59 minutes. Following his maiden title in Cameroon last season, the Tunis-born lifted his fifth trophy in 2019 to celebrate his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cancun MEX – Vasil Kirkov clinches his maiden title
20-year-old Vasil Kirkov triumphed at the Cancun Tennis Cup, hosted at Cancun Tennis Academy, to lift his first ever trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The Bulgarian-born, who is representing the United States and lives in Florida, battled past No. 2 seeded Jorge Brian Panta from Peru in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
No. 3 seeded Nick Chappell, who won the title in Cancun last week, booked the spot in the all-US American final by beating Shintaro Mochizuki in the tiebreak of the deciding set. Sixteen year-old Mochizuki captured the trophy of the Junior Championships in Wimbledon and was ranked World No. 1 as a junior earlier this season.
No. 4 seeded Kirkov outpointed his 27-year-old rival in the final 133-130 to seal a 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 victory after three hours and 26 minutes.
M15 Antalya TUR – Alvaro Lopez San Martin captures his second trophy of the season
Alvaro Lopez San Martin took the title of the GD Tennis Cup Series, held at Kaya Belek Resort Hotel in Antalya.
The No. 6 seeded Spaniard rallied down veteran Milan Zekic from Serbia in the semi-finals in three sets.
No. 8 seeded Mate Valkusz, who was ranked ITF No. 1 as a junior, emerged victorious from the all-Hungarian semi-final clash versus last week’s Antalya champion Fabian Marozsan in straight sets.
Twenty-two year-old Lopez San Martin won 79 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to secure a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win after two hours and eight minutes. The Barcelona native celebrated his seventh career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second in 2019.
