MUNICH, December 30, 2019
Organizers of the BMW Open by FWU announced on Monday that Germany’s No. 1 Alexander Zverev will return to Munich next year. The 2020 edition of the ATP 250 clay-court event will be held from April 27 to May 3 at the venue of the MTTC Iphitos.
The 22-year-old captured the title of the International Tennis Championships of Bavaria in 2017 and 2018. Zverev will join Italian teenager Jannik Sinner, who will make his debut in Munich next year.
“The BMW Open by FWU are one of my favorite clay-court tournaments on the tour. I won twice here and the people are really great. From the spectators to the organizers to every staff member, everyone tries to make you feel comfortable as a player,” Zverev stated in a press release.
